first_img By chloecox – Duke Energy unit begins operations at solar PV project Facebook Duke Energy Renewables, a unit of Duke Energy (NYSE: DUK), announced that the 10 MW Black Mountain Solar Power Project in Arizona was completed. The project has been producing power for customers of UniSource Energy Services since mid-December through a 20-year power purchase agreement. Twitter Duke Energy Renewables purchased the solar photovoltaic project from Solon Corp. in May 2012. Solon designed and built the project and will continue to handle operations, monitoring and maintenance.
