6 6 Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) – The Chilean forwards move to Old Trafford looks a matter of when and not if, following Arsene Wengers comments this morning. Sanchez is expected to earn £500,000-a-week with the Red Devils and reportedly has a chartered aircraft on standby to transport him to Manchester. The 29-year-old will have to complete his transfer by noon on Friday if he is to play against Burnley on Saturday. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) – Reports in Spain have suggested Ronaldo is unhappy in Madrid after club president Florentino Perezs failure to offer him a new contract. The former Red Devils player told his teammates he wanted to return to Old Trafford but his current boss Zinedine Zidane attempted to dampen the speculation by saying he could not see a Madrid without Cristiano. We have seen this story play out before but a different ending could be written in the summer. Paulo Dybala (Juventus) – Juventus general club manager Beppe Moratta has shared the Serie A clubs desire to keep their star striker despite speculation. The Argentinian international has emerged as one of European footballs brightest young talents over the past two seasons and has already scored 17 goals in the current campaign. United successfully negotiated a world-record fee for Paul Pogba in 2016 and could try to do something similar in the summer if the likes of Antoine Griezmann move elsewhere. Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Mkhitaryan like Sanchez trained as normal this morning but is expected to swap Manchester for north London in the coming days if not hours. The Armenian has previously spoken of the Gunners being his favourite English club and Wenger talked up the possibility of him being part of a swap-deal with Sanchez. The 28-year-old would expect to become a key player if he decides to leave Old Trafford. 6 As one of the biggest clubs in world football, Manchester United never fail to be linked with some huge transfers. They are yet to add to their squad in the January transfer window and manager Jose Mourinho has made it explicity clear that he needs more funds if his side are to compete with runaway league leaders Manchester City. A certain Alexis Sanchez looks set to arrive in the coming days but he is just one of many names being linked with a move to the Red Devils.Click through the gallery above to see who else the papers reckon could be heading to Old Trafford. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – The Swedish striker is unlikely to see his current deal extended beyond the end of the season but a January exit remains on the cards. The 36-year-old has struggled for form and fitness since returning from an eight-month layoff and is likely to drop further down the pecking order when Sanchez arrives. Ibrahimovic is attracting interest from a host of MLS clubs but Jose Mourinho would only sanction an early exit if he feels his squad has enough attacking depth. 6 6 6 Matteo Darmian – The Independent have reported that AC Milan and Valencia are keen on signing the Italian defender in this window. Darmian has struggled to settle in the Premier League since joining from Torino in 2015 and Old Trafford officials are said to be open to selling the 28-year-old. Reports also state that Darmian could be used as a makeweight in a potential bid for Juventus fullback Alex Sandro if the club fail to find a buyer for Darmian in January.
